Training on clean water initiative has started
This month, Making More Health (MMH) and Boehringer Ingelheim’s colleagues from EHS&S (Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability) in cooperation with the social enterprise HELIOZ, launched a pilot project in Kenya, to improve drinking water quality in Bungoma County, Kenya.
Now the project has been rolled out to our community of farmers and persons with albinism in Webuye, Bungoma County.
Impressions from the first training
In our MMH house, some of our future Community trainers (volunteers from the communities itself) learn about the usage of the WADI device to train then in the field families, neighbors, and friends on how they can produce easily drinking water that is highly bacteria reduced.
There will a series of training, on the usage of the device, but also about how to store water more healthily, about hygiene and the importance of health, about income generation opportunities, and a lot more.
In the next three months, more than 6000 families will benefit from it. Stay tuned for updates on our blog.
